What's up with the state of pannel shows now-a-days?! I was watching tele the other day (aha, what a suprise!) and i consequently saw, Qi, 8 out of 10 cats, Mock the week and Would I lie to you. To be quite honest, i was dissapointed! D:
At a time when stand-up comedian's are flurishing with McIntyre's roadshows (Does he ever go home?) and Live á l'Appolo, you wouldn't have been mistaken to think that there was plenty of 'good-stuff to be seen on the tele-talky shows. On the contary, (Yeah, i even confused myself there; how many double negatives do i want? (And how many bracheted questions can two paragraphs have?!)) Anyway, it all started with the down-fall of Mock the week. Frankie Boyle, you L E G E N D. His satyrical, partially dark, quick witted and crude stylings bless our lives with love affection and sheer apriciation. Now he's gone. FOL. Shortly followed, by Russel Howard's departure. Now with only 2 of the 'oldies' left, it's opened the way to others, who 'don't-really-get-the-show' and it's dissapointing. Doesn't matter how good Quentin Jones, or Mark Watson or Kevin Brigens are. It's not the same. And the producers now it.
8 outa 10 cats isn't really my fav tbf. It's a bit, 'common', i guess. not tyo be superiorist, but i like a bit more, i dunno, of BBC touch?
Hence Qi being awsome. Steven Fry, gets enough priase through this countless twitter followers, of which i'm one, so i shalln't over egg his already semi-egotistically pronouced methaphorical pudding, but tbf, he ain't half good.
